X 2
The X2 series is a group of wooden sculptures. The solid wood blocks are assembled by a mortise and tenon structure. The surfaces are aged after a applying a layer of black-brown wood oil, allowing the blocks to feel heavy but remain small. Like a work of architecture, the installations are formed by a strict set of rules. Each piece is composed of a uniform set of blocks and naturally formed openings. Various combinations and orientations of the blocks result in different miniature architectural towers.
